덕치전통한지 DEOKCHI JEONTONG HANJI
'길이 이어져야 할 색 고운 전통'
전라북도 임실의 덕치면은 사방이 닥나무 밭일 정도로 한지 생산지로 이름난 곳이었다.
이곳에서 60여 년 경력의 전라북도 무형문화유산 김일수 지장은 큰아들 김장석 지장에게 4대째 가업을 전수해 오고 있다. 서화용 순지, 예술용 치자물지 및 창호지, 벽지 등 다양한 전통한지를 생산한다.
'A colorful tradition that must be carried on'
Deokchi-myeon in Imsil, Jeollabuk-do, was once so famous for Hanji production that mulberry fields surrounded the area. With over 60 years of experience, Jeollabuk-do Intangible Cultural Heritage Holder Kim Il-soo passed the craft down to his eldest son, Kim Jang-suk, continuing the family trade for four generations. They produce various traditional Hanji including sunji(pure paper) for calligraphy, chijamulji(paper dyed with gardenia water) for art, changhoji(traditional window paper), and wallpaper.
